Stephanie Simplis is described by many as energetic and determined. In fact, he just opened his third business in Norwich.
JoyFull Nutrition hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony by the Greater Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce (GNACC) on Friday. The new business sells nutritional teas and shakes along with protein bars. There is also a rental space where the instructor can hold yoga classes or other exercise classes.
Simplices’ newest venture joins Steflorah Tax & Multi Services and Steflorah Beauty Salon & Store, which all operate out of the same building on Franklin Street.
Simplice was inspired to open JoyFull Nutrition when Norwich Nutrition closed because she was receiving their drinks. She could only make her own nutritional drinks at home, but she loved having the support of others on her health and weight loss journey. One day, he decided to open his own business.
Businesses that provide services to the community
He said: Start with yourself and make it for the whole society.
These drinks, including tea and protein shakes, range from $5 to $17. Protein bars are $3 each.
All of Simplices business ventures have been about serving the community in some way. When Simplis joined GNACC, she wanted to know what resources were available to help support fellow Haitians, especially those newly arrived in the United States. He said Simplice continues to speak with other city leaders to help direct people to the resources they need.
“It’s not just for me,” he said. to work and join them.”
She said since Simplis moved to Norwich, she has loved the love, support and diversity in the community.
“I love what’s going on, and I wanted to keep it going,” he said. Reach everyone
Simples’ longtime friend Chantal Beauville traveled from New Jersey to support her friend’s new business. Beauvil is not at all surprised that Simplice can operate three businesses simultaneously in one building, he said.
He said he always thinks about business.
Carlin Charmelos, who often collaborates with Simplice in her work with youth and adults, was also on hand to cut the ribbon. The two organize an annual event in Mohegan Park, and the Simplices’ children used to be in Charmelus’ Sunday school classes. He said that Charmelus likes how hard-working and eager Simplice is to help the community.
He’s a fan, Charmelos said. We need more Stephanies in Norwich City.
Simplice opened her first business, Salon, in 2014. He said that it was his dream to open his own business since he was a child.
He said I used to work at Wal-Mart, Target. It never worked with me.
Looking forward to it
Simplice is still dreaming big and wants to own a mall or square later. For now, she said, she can manage her three current businesses because they’re all under one roof, and she can focus on growing JoyFull Nutrition while other people help out with the Steflorah business.
While there is another health drink store, Juices on Broadway, in the same spot occupied by Norwich Nutrition, there is enough demand downtown for both Juices and JoyFull to operate, Simplice said.
He said that we all have the same goal to stay healthy and fulfill this life.
